Yep, it’s approaching quickly. The kids and I leave on our two-month road trip in just over two weeks. Spending one night in Alachua, FL with close friends, then onto Lake Eufula, AL for two nights with a friend at her lake house. Then we begin our trek west through New Orleans, Cajun Country, Montgomery & Austin, TX, NM, Sedona, AZ, South Rim of the Grand Canyon, through Lake Havasu City and onto CA where we’ll be starting at Disneyland and going north to Redwood National and back down to Yosemite then homeward bound. PFMan is joining us for a few legs along the way.
So far it’s looking something like this, but the route home is up in the air.
We purchased a new tent for the trip, just over half the journey will be at campsites. Gavin and I will be pitching together so we got the new Coleman easy up for 6 peeps. Supposed to go up in 60 sec. We’ll see. I’ve been pulling together healthy camping recipes, thinking we’ll have plenty of access to farmer stands and markets along the way, we’ll be going through several progressive/alternative cities like Austin and Santa Fe, Taos too. Oh and the whole state of CA, lol. Can’t wait to get my hands on those strawberries at Swanton Berry Farm on the PCH!
Plan on visiting Perfectly Flawed Woman for updates and photos from the trip, we’d love to have you tag along, and please, if you live in or have any information on great things to see and/or do along our route, we’d love to hear from you!
Check out our short road trip to NY last summer!
Peace!
