We recently purchased a new tent for the trip. The Coleman 6-person Instant Tent (they say it goes up in 60 seconds). Well, Gavin and I tested it out today so we’re not winging it on our first tenting night (which is Carlsbad, NM, after driving 7 hours from San Antonio, TX). First time out of the bag and it was up in under two minutes. I’m happy with that!
We also got the kids new hydration backpacks and they think they’re sooooo cool. Gavin has been wearing his around the house since we brought them home. He is the MOST hydrated he’s ever been, lol!

SO exciting!!! We did long-haul road trips with my parents every summer (they’re teachers) and are starting them with our kids too (Wisconsin and back again this year!). Such a fun way to explore our land!
